The G1000 i YES project aims to mobilise European organisations to bring together and valorise 1000 young “invisible” Europeans (without employment, education or internship) from disadvantaged neighbourhoods. In partnership with five organisations working in poverty areas in Belgium, France, Italy and Romania, the project seeks to create a dialogue between these young people and representatives of the European institutions. The objective is to develop tools to promote Europe adapted to these marginalised audiences, using media such as Discord, YouTube and Twitch. The methodological approach is based on the involvement of ambassadors chosen by young people and peer education. The project also aims to create spaces for expression and dialogue between “invisible” young people, youth workers and EU representatives, in order to generate inclusive participation on EU issues and policies related to the social challenges these young people face.
